Sensitive to the preservation of our environment, Laguiole Village has set up a partnership with Jean-Louis Etienne, the famous French explorer. The L'Antartica knife is therefore helping to support the explorer's next mission: Polar Pod. This mission consists of sailing in the Antarctic Circumpolar Current, an area not often visited by sailors due to its dangerousness, allowing the acquisition of observation data which will be transmitted to researchers, oceanographers and climatologists involved in the project.
The Espalion collection was created to highlight the village in which the Laguiole Village workshop is located.
The slightly curved handle of the knife recalls the shape of the Old Bridge of Espalion. On some of them, the bridge is engraved by hand.
